Just to be clear though it could be very easily argued that you break even if you take the stretch from 30k-the end where you actually lose money. It is a very slightly better indication over large samples than your actual win rate is. This in return makes me think that you get -$EV in above example when it should be +$EV due to first hand having higher impact.It says how lucky you were in that when you flip over your cards before all the cards have been dealt it will give you the % of the pot that you deserve whereas in reality you either win it, lose it or split it hence where the difference can occur. The chances of winning with 1 chip are almost 0, but if you somehow manage to win, would your EV line be equal to the line you took with 1000 vs 999 chips? I find this interesting because if it is then it implies that no matter what hands you have after receiving or causing a bad beat your $EV line will be the same, which can't be right.ĮDIT: I assume in a tournament the $EV of a tournament is $EV of each all-in hand (that doesn't involve multiple people) combined together. But if you lose when you are a favorite in 1000 vs 999 you are left with 1 chip. If you participate in all-in 1000 chips vs 1000 chips and lose when favorite your $EV line will go up. What I am basically asking is if a streak of wins can 'overtake' a bad beat making it so that it shows an $EV lower then it should be.Ī more extreme example would be 1000 vs 999 chips, compared to 1000 vs 1000 chips. Is All-in Adjusted for Hero in all of this hands combined (including 82% one) lower/higher/similar to all-in adjusted compared to the first hand? If I am not being clear please let me now.

All together hero won 5 all-ins in a row and had equity of 50% in all of them. He doubles to 400, then 800, then 1600, then wins. Next hand hero goes all-in and villain calls with both having 50% equity. Villain wins and hero is left with 100 chips. Hero has 82% equity and Villain has 18% equity. Let's say we have HU, Hero has 1550 stacks, Villain has 1450 stacks (we can act as if there is no blinds and antes). What is the % of prizepool that you receive based on All-in adjusted? Now you are in heads up and the person you are playing vs went sitting out which gives you 100% victory.

Now in the next hand the remaining 4 players all go all-in (they have equal stacks) and one player wins. In the first hand BB (hero) and SB (villain) go all-in and both have 50% equity. Payout Structure is 65%/35%, starting stacks 500 and blinds are 10/20 with 2 ante.
