Analy’s soph Stella Finley won in 19:04, her senior team mate Rosemary Harris on her heels in 19:08. Ukiah’s top finisher was promising sophomore Molly Huff, 8th in 22:32. The Wildcat girls team placed 3rd behind runaway winner Analy, though close to Rancho Cotate’s 2nd. Kaden Shaw, running varsity for the first time, was the first freshman across the line in 19:48, 22nd junior Kobi Hasunuma – still recovering from injury – gutted out a 20:57 for 26th. Analy won overwhelmingly Ukiah edged out Healdsburg for 2nd – every place precious – thanks to senior Jackson Brown (18:37), soph Parker Mitchell (19:14) and junior Xavier Fierro (19:39) taking 12th, 16th, & 18th. Oscar’s and Jack’s strong runs bode well for their spring track and field season. Cardinal Newman senior Adrian Estrada was 3rd, 16:40. Cormac Gaylord, a senior on Analy’s pennant-winning team, won in 15:54, with junior Kaeden Anderson of Healdsburg 2nd, 16:06. Wildcats junior Oscar Ruiz and senior Jack Rahn finished 4th & 5th in 16:48 & 16:57 on the 3 mile course. The Ukiah High boys cross country team placed second in the 7-team Redwood Division of the North Bay League Championships at Spring Lake, Santa Rosa, on Nov.
